Ed Saleeba, an RTA buyer has said that he is also not looking for a particular piece of furniture, but for new avenues for growth. “I go to the National Housewares Manufacturers Association event with an open mind and see what types of trends are taking place. My main objective is to see what new areas are being explored,” he said.

The use of knotty pine has ignited a lot of interest from buyers. Hence, some retailers have already incorporated its use in their line of office furnitures, and are working on improving them for the RTA furnitures. With RTA furnitures, people can now enjoy its use in their cozy home offices. Given that these can now be easily assembled, this practicality shows that it can be removed and positioned somewhere else. These are good concerns that work for the home office employee. What they need is something that can be installed in less time, but delivers the same amount of support needed to house all the office furnitures.

Regardless of wood tone, home office furniture sales growth is strong and discounters are planning to merchandise the RTA area differently and in some cases add to selections to ride the crest of the sales wave.
